I’ve been invited to an Academic Conduct Panel - what do I do?

Preparing for an Academic Conduct Panel

You have been referred to the Academic Conduct panel meeting regarding academic misconduct, as the staff who marked your work have concerns about the authorship of your work. You will not attend the panel yourself, but you will have been asked to provide a written response to the allegations. Make sure that you understand what you are accused of and ensure that you can demonstrate this in the response.

You can read more about this type of meeting and possible outcomes on the  University’s Academic Conduct page here: https://www.hallamstudentsunion.com/support/academic/article/6013/Academic-Misconduct/ and also on the SU’s webpage: https://www.hallamstudentsunion.com/news/article/6013/Academic-Misconduct/

We strongly encourage you to speak to The Students' Union Advice Centre who offer independent advice and can support you through the process. You can contact the team through the Ask us form on this webpage:  https://www.hallamstudentsunion.com/ask/

Our advisers can support you with drafting your Response Form and providing feedback to help make it as strong as possible. We can go through your allegation and evidence to help you put your strongest case forward in your response.
