What can’t the Students’ Union Advice Centre help with?

There are a number of topics that the advice team are unable to assist with. Please read through this list before getting in touch.

The Advice Centre does not: 

• provide legal advice or representation
• provide any advice about VISAs or decisions about VISAs 
• provide a wellbeing/ mental health service - we are able to signpost students to other available appropriate services 
• have access to student records 
• act on behalf of a student -  we would not usually challenge decisions on an individuals behalf although we will guide you through how to take your own action
